At Zero Limits Diving, we’ll teach you the skills and confidence to safely explore after dark, opening the door to incredible encounters and unforgettable nighttime adventures.
Prerequisites
To enrol in the PADI Night Diver Specialty course, you must:
- Be a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver (or hold an equivalent certification from another recognised training agency).
- Be at least 12 years old.
Course Outline
During two exciting night dives, you’ll learn how to:
- Plan and safely conduct night dives.
- Control your buoyancy in low-light conditions.
- Navigate confidently underwater after dark.
- Use your dive light for communication.
- Identify fascinating nocturnal marine life and observe daytime creatures at rest.
The first dive of this specialty may also count as an Adventure Dive towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Completing this course also brings you one step closer to achieving the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Equipment
It’s recommended that you use your own scuba equipment so you can become even more comfortable with your setup. You’ll also use:
- Dive light (primary)
- Backup dive light
- Standard scuba equipment
- Weight system
Your Zero Limits Diving Instructor will ensure you’re familiar with all the equipment and techniques needed for safe and enjoyable night diving.
Getting Started
Once you’ve enrolled, you’ll receive your PADI Night Diver learning materials to complete before your practical training begins.
One of our experienced Zero Limits Diving PADI Instructors will then contact you to arrange your night dives and guide you through every step of the course.
Practical training typically takes 2–3 days and is usually conducted over weekends, with weekday training available by prior arrangement.
