There’s something truly unforgettable about descending into the deep. Whether you’re exploring dramatic walls, hidden wrecks, or breathtaking underwater landscapes, the PADI Deep Diver Specialty gives you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to safely explore depths of up to 40 metres.

At Zero Limits Diving, we’ll teach you how to dive deeper with confidence, manage the unique challenges of deep diving, and unlock a whole new world of underwater adventure.

Prerequisites

To enrol in the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course, you must:

• Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold an equivalent certification from another recognised training agency).
• Be at least 15 years old.

Course Outline

During four exciting deep dives, you’ll learn how to:

• Plan and safely conduct deep dives.
• Use specialised deep diving equipment.
• Improve buoyancy and buddy procedures at depth.
• Manage your gas supply efficiently.
• Recognise and manage the effects of nitrogen narcosis.
• Follow safe deep diving practices and emergency procedures.

This specialty also brings you one step closer to achieving the prestigious PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

Equipment

You’ll use your standard scuba equipment together with:

• Dive computer
• Dive light
• Underwater slate
• Other specialised deep diving equipment as required

Your Zero Limits Diving Instructor will explain the equipment needed and ensure you’re comfortable using it throughout the course.

Getting Started

Once you’ve enrolled, you’ll receive your PADI Deep Diver learning materials to complete before your practical training begins.

One of our experienced Zero Limits Diving PADI Instructors will then contact you to schedule your deep dives and guide you through every step of the course.

Practical training typically takes 3–4 days and is usually conducted over weekends, with weekday training available by prior arrangement.
